Two goals apiece from Lewis Grabban and Yann Kermorgant handed AFC Bournemouth an impressive victory over Leeds United in the SkyBet Championship.
The Cherries held a three-goal lead at half time and Ross McCormack’s second half strike was too little too late for the visitors at The Goldsands Stadium.
Kermorgant opened the scoring after two minutes when he deflected Simon Francis’ effort past Leeds goalkeeper Jack Butland.
Grabban doubled his side’s lead on 18 minutes, before a powerful finish gave the hosts a comfortable advantage before the break.
The Cherries started brightly in the second half and added to the score when Kermorgant headed home Matt Ritchie’s cross, before McCormack restored some pride for the away side on 69 minutes with his 26th goal of the season.
Bournemouth’s first ever victory over the Yorkshire side takes them up to 10th place in the Championship table, and Eddie Howe’s side are now just seven points adrift of the play-off places.
