Cherries winger Ryan Fraser is keen for AFC Bournemouth to continue their Capital One Cup quest and to be the draw to face a big Premier League side in the next round.
The Dorset side host Northampton Town tonight in the second round, but have only won once since their 2-0 victory over Exeter City in the previous round.
“We saw that MK Dons got Manchester United in the second round so it’s a big incentive for us” said Fraser.
“It will be a tough game against Northampton, but hopefully if we get through, we can get a big tie game against one of the top clubs.”
Elliott Ward and Simon Francis are expected to miss tonight’s game, while Dan Gosling and Ian Harte could start for the Cherries.
Kelvin Langmead, Lewis Hornby and Ian Morris will miss out for the Cobblers.
Bournemouth youngster Baily Cargill could make his home debut for the hosts tonight, after he was handed his first competitive start against Exeter City in the first round.
“Getting through to the next round was a good thing for me because hopefully I will get another opportunity” he said. “The longer we stay in the competition, the better it is for me.
“I have to be selected first, but if I play then it would be my home debut. It would be good to show the fans what I’m about.”
