Jamie Smith’s Mabon are among the UK’s foremost and finest exponents of original, InterCeltic music – and they’re on an Artsreach tour that brings them to The Exchange at Sturminster Newton on Saturday, 22nd March.

They are an exciting band that can take you on an emotional journey as they dance skilfully along the borders between Celtic heritage and contemporary sound.

Vocals, accordion, fiddle, bouzouki, bass and drums are subtly exploited by five dynamic, accomplished musicians, working traditional forms and styles anew in songs and melodies by composer Jamie Smith.

More than just a show, more than inspired composition and skilful arrangement, the audience can expect to witness the joy of creating music expressed in dynamic, virtuosic performance.

Mabon are also playing the village hall at Langton Matravers on 19th March (information and tickets on 01929 423834). For tickets for The Exchange, contact 01258 475137.
