An ambitious Dorset youth choir with sights set on professional performances is holding X Factor style auditions on 17th May in Wimborne and Ferndown. Directed by a leading vocalist with West End, global and TV experience, local children, if picked, will sing their way to professional stages and CD releases.
Aimed at children 11-18 years old, Vocal Impact is a not-for-profit company with a vision for uniting our young through song, music and ambition. With solidarity at its core, the choir will be an inclusive and driven environment with a common goal – to be the best, and to have fun.
Founder of Vocal Impact, Samuel Adams, says: “This is more than a local youth choir – it’s a local
youth choir with a go-get-‘em attitude. We want to discover our local talent and bring them together to create a professional standard choir the whole community can be proud of.” He added: “We want to bring a sense of purpose and pride to our young; a sense of comradeship and solidarity. And because the choir will be run by passionate and professional adults, we want to bring the generations together in a positive and mutual environment.”
Whether candidates are into rock, pop or classical, Bach or Beyoncé, all are welcome. All that’s needed is commitment, drive and – of course – a voice that deserves to be heard. Interest is expected to be high, so those who want to sing their way to success should register for the audition online at www.vocalimpact.org.uk
