A Bournemouth man was treated in hospital after being punched in the head

A Bournemouth man was treated in hospital for serious facial injuries after being punched in the head outside a nightclub.

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the attack outsuide the V-Club and Moon in the Square pub on Exeter Road at around 3:30am on Tuesday January 22.

A 20-year-old man from Bournemouth had a verbal altercation with three unknown men - before being punched in the head.

The victim was taken to hospital suffering with facial injuries. No one has been arrested.

Detective Constable Jo Shrewbridge of Bournemouth CID said: "This attack has left the victim with serious injuries.

"The victim has described the main offender as having an olive skin complexion.

"The other two men the suspect was with at the time of the incident are described as white men and a black man, and both aged between 18 and 25.

"All three ran off towards the bus stop near The Square following the assault."

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 22:378.
