There are few things more frustrating than standing at a bus stop and not knowing when it will arrive.
However, Dorset County Council says a programme to upgrade real-time passenger information (RTPI) display is nearing completion with those in Christchurch being upgraded over the next two weeks.
A spokesman said: “The new RTPI displays will work using mobile phone technology which will allow greater reliability and instant messaging to update passengers of service disruptions and cancellations. “The new displays will have scheduled information only until the new Poole and Bournemouth RTPI system goes live at the end of May.”
Areas being upgraded are Wimborne, Corfe Mullen, Colehill, Ferndown, Christchurch, West Parley,Swanage, Wareham, Upton, Sandford and Lytchett Minster
