Police have released CCTV images of three people they would like to speak to after a purse was stolen from a pensioner in Verwood.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident which took place between 2:1-pm and 2:40pm on Thursday 31 October in the Morrisons supermarket. A purse was snatched from a 69-year-old woman from Ringwood while she was shopping in the store.

Police Constable Andrew Robertson of Verwood police said: “Enquiries have revealed that the victim’s bank card was used to buy goods at Tesco Express in Verwood and also to withdraw a large amount of cash from the cash machine in there.

“I am now able to release CCTV images of three people I wish to speak with as I believe they can help me with my investigation. I would urge the people pictured – and anyone who recognises them – to contact me, in confidence, as soon as possible.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 31:332.
