Police Constable Heidi Moxam of Poole Police Traffic Unit said: "This was a nasty collision and both drivers are extremely lucky not to have been badly hurt.

"As part of our investigation into the circumstances of this incident, I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or believes they saw either of these vehicles travelling along the B3081 prior to the collision."
