A CURRY night organised by the PTFA group at Castle Cary Primary School has raised more than £400 towards a new sensory garden.

PTFA members treated 150 guests to a mouthwatering Indian feast at Caryford Hall on Saturday night.

Chris Hansen, headmaster at Castle Cary Primary School said: "Our first ever Cary Curry Night was a wonderful event, bringing together families from our school community for an evening of family fun.

"Our hardworking volunteers produced a fantastic feast, raising in excess of £400 towards this year's sensory garden project. When complete, the sensory garden will provide a stunning environment within the school for children to use during lessons and playtimes."
