The Charterhouse auction on Friday 29th August includes a good selection of jewellery, watches, silver, wine, port & spirits.

“We have had a busy summer and have a great selection of lots which are soon to go under the hammer,” said auctioneer Richard Bromell. “This auction is always well attended, and with jewellery estimated from just £50 up to a large emerald cut diamond ring for £10,000 there is something for everyone in this department, which is closely followed by a super selection wine including a half bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne. Although not unusual, this bottle dates to 1914 and one can only wonder whether it was kept for happier times which never came along.”

Viewing for this auction at Charterhouse, The Long Street Salerooms, Sherborne is on Wednesday 27th August 10am-6pm and Thursday 28th 10am-5pm, or you can browse through all their lovely lots on www.charterhouse-auction.com

Charterhouse is now accepting entries for their next auctions which include clocks, collectors items, coins, medals and stamps on 26th September, and also for their auction of classic and vintage cars on 17th September.
