Car enthusiast Adrian Thompson is organising a vintage rally as an extra event for Shaftesbury’s Gold Hill Fair weekend in July.

The 5th July event will see a wide range of vehicles on show at Park Walk including his own 1935 Triumph Gloria.

Mr Thompson is expecting dozens of classic cars and motorbikes to attend including eyecatching Jaguars and a fleet of cherished Minis.

A traction engine and Harley Davidson motorbikes are also expected to be on show.

His Shaftesbury Fringe day returns the annual Gold Hill Fair to a two-day attraction for the town after its organisers decided to scale it down to one day this year.

Gold Hill Fair will be held on Sunday, 6th July.

Mr Thompson said he hopes to have food stands and charity stalls to make the day a friendly and enjoyable day for everyone.

Anyone wishing to take a vehicle along should contact him by email on administrator@a-thompson-aca.demon.co.uk or call in at his office at 20 High Street, Shaftesbury, for a form.
