Viral Meningitis Week is all about getting people to talk about the disease, its symptoms and its after-effects. That’s why we’re calling it Vocal About Viral.

The week, between 5th and 11th May, aims to provide vital awareness about the true impact of viral meningitis, which affects some 6,000 people each year and can leave its victims with exhaustion, headaches, memory loss, depression, anxiety and hearing difficulties.

Meningitis Now is aiming to dispel misconceptions that viral meningitis is always ‘mild’.

More information is attached and will follow, and we’d appreciate your help in spreading the word.

In return we can provide:

• Case studies

• Spokespeople

• Explanations

• Facts and misconceptions

• Images
