The rich heritage of Sherborne is the focus for an event at Dorset History Centre in Dorchester on Saturday, 10th May.

The annual archives discovery day is run by Dorset Archives Trust, the charity that supports and promotes the archival heritage of Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.

Speakers will cover subjects including Sherborne School, the castle and the almshouse.

The common theme will be the importance of archives - documents, images, maps and plans - in forming the evidence and for the interpretation of the past.
