Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill held 'fascinating discussions' with locals at his first forum and surgery in Shaftesbury.

Mr Underhill met with residents in a two-hour session last week, with locals raising concerns over speeding in villages and anti-social behaviour.

"It is so important for me to engage with people in Dorset" said Mr Underhill.

"These forums and surgeries allow me to speak with the public directly about policing and crime in their area.

"They are being listened to and I am being informed about community issues. It was a fascinating discussion and I am very much looking forward to doing it again, at my other forums and surgeries across Dorset in the months ahead."

Debate at the Shaftesbury session also centred around the Government's alcohol strategy and mental health provision.

Mr Underhill will hold 25 forums and surgeries across Dorset every year.

When I read this drivel from Martyn Muppet, I didn't know whether to laugh or be sick. He's off on his jollys around the county trying so hard to justify his big fat salary plus free car and clock up his fuel expenses. His credibilty and even justification for his job need a kick start somehow. Of course it's fascinating for him to hear and engage with people who have real issues. That's all part of the phoney PR exercise. The big question is... What, if anything is he prepared to do about these issues which doesn't impact or conflict with his political agenda? He has his intructions from Theresa and his performance targets MUST be met. The revenue gathering targets are in place and MUST be met. So when you get the smiles, nods and the appearance of care and concern, look behind the mask. Forget upholding the law of this land, cover ups, the gagging of free speech and secret courts have nullified all that. Who are you trying to fool Mr. U? Fewer and fewer hopefully.
