LOCAL photographer, Colin Tracy, produces colourful floral work, particularly close-up images emphasising form, shape, texture and of course sumptuous colour. As well as floral work he photographs insects, nature and landscapes, most of which is photographed within walking distance of his home. Over the years he has also been told by numerous people,‘I’ve got a really good camera but I don’t know how to use it’ - so he has decided to do something about it. Starting on 15th February Colin is holding the first of three workshops that will give the basic knowledge to instil enough confidence to use the camera on manual settings, letting you choose the results you want, rather than striking it lucky! The three workshops are Beyond the Automatic Setting, with the second, Light and Composition on 1st March, followed by An Introduction to Contemplative Photography on 15th March, and will be held at Dorchester’s Borough Gardens House, 10am - 4pm.

For more information / cost per workshop or all three, which includes lunch, call 01305 889476 / 07874 910877 or email colintracy66@copperstream
