Fire fighters have rescued people from their vehicles this morning as flooding continues around the Lower Sour.

At around 7am, crews from Wimborne and Poole pulled a vehicle and its occupier clear from 12 inches of water at White Mill Bridge, Shapwick.

Crews from Blandford and Poole were later required to help a car from six inches of water at Crawford Bridge near Spetisbury.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were then called back to Shapwick by police - to assist three people trapped in their car.
