AFC Bournemouth could find themselves in the playoff places by the end of the year - as they prepare to face fellow promotion hopefuls Crawley Town this afternoon.

The Cheries find themselves just one point behind the MK Dons, sitting in seventh place in League One.

Bournemouth are only separated from today's opponents by goal difference, with Crawley making their first ever visit to The Goldsands Stadium.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe said: "We know just how difficult this game is going to be. Crawley came from behind to win at Portsmouth on Wednesday, and that shows the character they have within their squad.

"They believe that they can come here and end our unbeaten run, like every team does and will be looking to disrupt and destroy. That is their right and we have to deal with that.

"We want to keep this run going and finish the year on a high. We are playing against a good side who enjoy playing on the road, so we know we can show no complacency, because as soon as we display any tendencies like that, we will be punished."
