FACE to Face with the Ancestors is a special fund raising talk by Julian Richards to Gillingham Local History Society in support of Gillingham Museum.

The event will be held on Friday 7th March at the Olive Bowl, Gillingham starting at 7.30pm.

In this talk, Dorset based TV archaeologist, Julian Richards will explain how recent scientific developments have brought us closer to those who lived in our islands from the Stone Age to the Dark Ages. Based on his most recent BBC 4 series, ‘Meet the Ancestors revisited’ this illustrated talk really will bring you face to face with the past.

Julian says: “Today we are all fascinated by our ancestors - with those whose lives can be teased out from documents and faded photographs. But only archaeology and cutting edge science can reveal the lives of our more ancient ancestors.”

Tickets £8 available from Chapman Moore, Estate Agents, High Street, Gillingham.

Ticket numbers entered into free draw for Julian's latest book on Stonehenge.

Doors open at the Olive Bowl from 6.45pm. Bar will be available.
