Flood warnings issues in Dorset as strong wind and rain to hit tonight

Flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency across Dorset.

FLOOD warnings have been issued in Dorset as heavy rain and strong winds are set to sweep over the region tonight.

The Environment Agency has issued warnings at Lyme Regis Bay and West Bay – which will stay in force for two hours following the high tide at 7pm tonight.

Forecasters are predicting a Force Nine strength wind – with a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office.

There are also various flood alerts in place in Dorset including Christchurch Harbour, the River Frome, Poole Harbour and other rivers.
