If you're local to Blandford you can't have failed to notice that the Great Dorset Steam Fair is back in town. Or just outside of town to be more accurate.
This year's event is set to be bigger than ever with over 600 acres of vintage engine equipment, heavy horses, monster trucks, bike displays, falconry and tons more. One of the main attractions is the steam powered fun fair which goes well into the night.
Preparations for the show have been ramping up for days now (months if you're on the organising team) and the excitement is palpable. Even the weather forecast is looking okay at the time of writing.
The gates open tomorrow morning (7am for parking, 8am for entry) and there are still tickets available if you fancy a day out - you won't be alone as over 200,000 visitors are expected.
