Greyhounds helped raise money for charity when they accompanied collectors in Dorchester.
The town centre collecting day raised £257.72 for Greyhound Rescue West of England - GRWE.
Liz Baker, the charity’s events organiser, said: “We are very grateful for the support and interest shown by the people of Dorchester.
“Every penny we receive goes to helping our hounds.
“Pounds are full to bursting with wonderful dogs and we need to re-home the dogs we currently look after to help other vulnerable dogs.
“So we are doing whatever we can in Dorset to raise awareness and money.”
The award-winning charity rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned or abused greyhounds and lurchers.
It rehomed 616 dogs last year, working across England and Wales.
