MOTORISTS in Dorset are being urged to prepare with icy roads this evening and tomorrow morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across the region from 5pm on Monday until 10am on Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to feel as cold as -1 °C in some areas tonight – while water left by heavy showers today could turn to ice.

A Met Office spokesperson said: “A combination of clear spells and light winds will allow road temperatures to fall below freezing on Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday.
