On a lovely Friday afternoon the beautiful sounds of the Royal Corps of Signals Band were for the last time heard on the streets of Blandford Forum.
A large crowd of people saw this event but there could have been more had there not been confusion over the time. Originally 2pm, and then in the BVM 2.30pm, it was all over by 2.15.
I am sure something a little more could have been done to acknowledge this event in the Market Place.
It is very sad to see them depart after such a long and illustrious connection with the town.
Families were arriving at the Ham car park to see the parade while the band was packing up to leave.
Many children were in tears as they had missed them.
Good luck to all of them in their new ventures
You will be greatly missed.
