Dorset based Parley Optometrists have won the national award for Technology Practice of the year at this year’s Optician Awards held at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London.
This is the second time the company have won the award after winning in 2008.
The optical practice faced competition from opticians across the UK and has reached the finals of the awards for several years.
Owner and Senior Optometrist, Rob Jones, said: “It’s a real achievement to win the award for the second time and it’s good to be officially recognised for all the hard work the team puts in to ensure the very best eye care for our patients.
It’s very difficult to know what exactly the judges are looking for when deciding on who should win an award, so all we can do is put forward what we as a practice do best and what we feel is important as opticians.”
The practice was also short-listed for two other national awards, Campaign of the Year award and Software Practice of the Year, which recognised their use of the latest software to improve patent experience.
Since forming in 1999, Parley Optometrists has grown from a small optician with a few hundred patients to being recognised as a leading independent optician on the south coast.
