A Somerset man has died after three cars collided on the A31 in Dorset.
At around 6pm on Monday 24th March, a blue Subaru overtook a HGV between Bere Regis and Winterbourne Zelston but crashed into a Skoda travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Skoda died at the scene, while two passengers were injured.
The Subaru spun before hitting a Mercedes car and ending up in a roadside ditch.
The A31 was closed between Bere Regis and Sturminster Marshall for several hours while a full forensic collision investigation was carried out.
The driver of the Subaru is helped police with their investigation.
Police are appealing for witnesses, including the driver of a green hatchback who may have vital information, to come forward.
