PIDDLEHINTON Brownies are on the hunt for a Tawny Owl to help keep their pack going.
The pack needs a second adult leader, known as a Tawny Owl, to help run the pack alongside Brown Owl leader Shelley Poole.
Shelley stepped in last summer to save the pack when it looked set to close.
She said: "I was both a Brownie and a Guide as a girl and had many wonderful experiences that I will never forget.
"Brownie packs must have two female adults present at each meeting but Piddlehinton Brownies are struggling to recruit a second leader.
"The parents of the Brownies are all really helpful and supportive and I have a wonderful young leader, Phoebe, who is known as Barn Owl.
"But a leader who could help on a regular basis could play a really important part in ensuring meetings are as much fun as they can be.
"I would love to have a fellow volunteer to share ideas and plan activities with."
Brownies enjoy working for their badges, playing games, cooking, singing and going out and about.
This term they will be working on interest badges, finding out about how Easter is celebrated in Australia and making chocolate gifts for Mothering Sunday.
The pack meets during term time on Wednesdays in Piddlehinton. Volunteers must be over 18 and training is provided. Email email@example.com or call Shelley on 07796 690211 to find out more.
