Doug Allan, the wildlife cameraman whose work has been crucial to the success of such BBC series as Life, Human Planet, Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and Ocean Giants, will be talking about his career at the Octagon, Yeovil, on Wednesday, 30th April.

“Wildlife cameramen don't come much more special than Doug," says Sir David Attenborough.

Doug’s speaking tour of the UK has him sharing photos, footage and stories in a show called In the Company of Giants.

What's it like to face a hungry polar bear and its cubs as they emerge from their den? Or to swim eye to eye with an enormous Southern Right Whale? And how does it feel to be stalked by killer whales in the straits of Gibraltar?

Find out when Doug tells the fascinating tales that have resulted from some of the toughest and most fascinating filming assignments.

The talk will start at 7.30pm. Tickets at £18.50 (concs £17.50) from the Octagon box office on 01935 422884.
