Dorset Police would like to speak to this man after an attack outside a Bournemouth bar

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with after a 'callous' assault in Bournemouth.

The incident took place at the rear of V Bar, St Andrew's Church on Exeter Road between 1.40am and 1.55am on Sunday November 11.

A 26-year-old victim was punched in the face by an unknown man - causing a cut and swelling to his right eye.

Police Constable Jonathan Oaten of Bournemouth Police said: "This was a callous attack which has left a man with a nasty injury, and following further enquiries, I am now able to release a CCTV image.

"This assault happened outside a busy nightclub, so I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.

"In particular I would like to speak to the man in the picture who I believe can help us with our investigation."

Anyone with information should call Dorset Police in 101 quoting incident number 11:62.
