Police searching for witnesses after Bournemouth cyclist left unconscious

Police would like to speak to this potential witness after a cyclist was left unconscious in Bournemouth

Police are hoping the public can help them investigate how a teenage cyclist was left unconscious in Bournemouth.

A CCTV image has been released by Dorset Police after a 19-year-old woman was knocked off her bike along Coach House Place in Bournemouth.

The incident took place at around 6pm on Thursday November 8 as the Bournemouth woman was cycling towards the train station.

The woman was knocked unconscious and suffered facial and head injuries.

Police Constable Dan Cullen of Bournemouth Police said: "It is not clear what exactly happened but a vehicle may have been involved.

"A vehicle, believed to be a blue five door saloon car, stopped at the scene.

"Two further men assisted the injured cyclist in the road before emergency services attended. I would also like to talk to these two men to find out whether they witnessed exactly what happened.

"I am appealing for any witnesses and anyone with information about the incident to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible."

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 08:400.
