Police are appealing for information after a Poole woman woke up underneath a car after a night out in Bournemouth.
Officers would like to speak to a taxi driver and a good Samaritan after a 20-year old may have been assaulted.
A woman got into a taxi outside the V Bar nighclub in Bournemouth at around 2.15am on Tuesday December 4.
She had asked the taxi driver to take her to Upton - but for an unknown reason had taken the 20-year-old to West Hill Road.
The woman woke up underneath a stationary vehicle at around 6am where she was helped to another taxi by a good Samaritan - and was taken back to her home address.
Officers believe it is possible she was assaulted.
Detective Constable Adrian Turner of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: "This is an unusual incident and at this time it is not clear exactly what has happened to this young woman.
"It may be that she has been a victim of an attack, of course it is very important that I establish this one way or the other as soon as possible.
"When she arrived back at her home address in the early hours of Tuesday morning, she was wearing a brown coat that didn't belong to her, and this was possibly given to her by the unknown man who helped her into the taxi on West Hill Road.
"We are very keen to talk to this person, who we believe is aged 65, and of average build with grey hair.
"I also urge either of the taxi drivers involved to make contact with the police in order to assist us with our enquiries.
"At this time it is unknown whether any offences have taken place, but we need to speak with these individuals urgently to determine this."
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 04:42.
