PHOTOS: Poole Hospital Charity marathon runners raise £15,000 - and counting

  • Kitt Harris is a senior staff nurse on the Trauma Admissions Unit (TAU) raising funds for her unit, shes raised nearly £2000 so far and came in at 4hrs 37mins

  • Kitt’s husband, Andy Harris, welcoming her back.

  • David Hatch, running to raising funds for TAU. This was Davids 15th London Marathon; he is 66 years old and came in at 5hrs 48mins. He has run for Poole Hospital Charity before in 2011.

  • Sarah Pitcher here with her 2 children ran to raise money for the Dorset Cancer Centre. She lost her twin brother to cancer in 2012 and has been supporting the unit since by running the Great South Run and Virgin London Marathon to thank them for their care. Sarah has raised £1500 so far and came in at 6hrs and 42 seconds!

  • Helen Prestage, ran to raise funds for the Dorset Cancer Centre in support of her friend Sarah Pitcher who lost her twin brother to cancer in 2012. Helen has raised £1800 so far.

  • Dan Beck here with his family including his Dad, sister and fiance ran for the Critical Car Unit. Dan is a PE teacher at Elm Academy. He lost his mum last year and ran in her memory. He has raised just over £1500 so far. Dan finished in 4 hours 53 mins.

Poole Hospital Charity is to benefit from the Virgin London Marathon.

So far £15,000 has been raised.
