Dorchester Town v Salisbury City

Comments (0)

After putting up a stern challenge against Welling United last week - Dorchester Town face another tough game when they host Blue Square South leaders Salisbury City this afternoon.

The Magpies shared a 2-2 draw against Basingstoke on Tuesday, and have not won since January 15.

However, Dorchester's last win came against Dover Athletic - currently third in the Blue Square South. Following a narrow 3-2 defeat against Welling last week, the Magpies know they can compete with any side in the league.

When Dorchester faced Salisbury back in October it was a top-of-the-table clash. The Magpies were thumped 4-0 starting a four-game losing streak which derailed their promising start to the season.

Jamie White has been in lethal form for the Wiltshire side this season - with 17 goals in 17 appearances.

Dorchester go into the game as underdogs, but with the Blue Square South league table so tight, every point is vital for the Dorset club.
