Writers from across Dorset are about to descend on Bere Regis for the Purbeck Literary Festival Story Slam.
The slam takes place on Wednesday 19th February, when contenders will have just five minutes each to convince judges that their entry is a winner.
There’s a nautical theme, and budding or experienced writers are invited to submit entries composed within any genre.
Author Heather Chamberlain will be lending a keen ear to make sure their performances include the words pebbles, sea and grey before the buzzer sounds.
The event takes place in the Royal Oak pub from 7.30pm. For more information, visit www.purbeckliteraryfestival/events.
