Cult Thunderbirds figures from Beswick are being put up for auction atthe Charterhouse saleroom in Sherborne.
The recent death of series creator Gerry Anderson gives added poignancy to the sale.
Richard Bromell, partner at Charterhouse and a huge Thunderbirds fan himself, said: “The news that the great Gerry Anderson has passed away does give the set a bit more market exposure.
“They are pretty rare, in great condition, and will appeal to those who collect Beswick and also juvenalia.
“Here at the saleroom we’ve all been walking around pretending to be puppets and saying ‘Thunderbirds are go’!”
The six figures – Scott and Virgil Tracy, Lady Penelope and Parker, Brains and The Hood – were a limited edition set produced in 1992. Only 750 were made.
The items will go up for sale on January 18.
