A Dorset nature reserve was the venue for the first Rural Business Breakfast hosted by Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Kingcombe Education Centre, situated on a beautifully unspoilt Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserve in Toller Porcorum, hosted the event on Tuesday 4th March.
From insurance brokers and solicitors to charities and not-for-profit organisations, more than 30 people attended the facilitated networking event from around Dorset, including Poole, Bournemouth and Dorchester. The log fire roared while business-men and women enjoyed a breakfast of sausage, bacon and eggs sourced from the nature reserve.
Nick Tomlinson, centre manager, explains: “We were thrilled to be the first to host a Rural Business Breakfast for the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and to see so many businesses come from around the county. The peaceful rural setting is an ideal place to escape the distractions of the office and focus on the task in hand.”
Kathryn Sutcliffe, events manager at the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, adds: “The Kingcombe Centre was a wonderful place to kick off the Rural Business Breakfasts for 2014. It was a great turnout and we look forward to hosting another breakfast there in the near future.”
