The next Sherborne Chamber AGM on 7th May will be held in the Digby Memorial Church Hall on Digby Road starting at 6.15pm. The idea this year is to make this a networking and social event with the Chamber supplying wine, Margaret Balfour Beauty teas and coffees and nibbles kindly donated by newest member Waitrose. Once formalities are completed all can chat over refreshments as to how the chamber can help shape and develop your town.
Jane Wood from Olivers will update on parking developments discussed with West Dorset District Council. Jane, together with Hannah Wilkins from Vineyards and representatives from Sherborne Castle Estates and STC (Sherborne Town Council) have met with traders in the town to discuss as to how Pack Monday Fair can be improved.
Sarah Sims who chairs the Festive Christmas Shopping working party will update members on exciting plans for this year while Margaret Balfour will speak on the Tourism Forum and plans for independent traders in town to get involved in an exciting plan to boost trade in late June early July with a unified chamber backed initiative leading up to UK Independents Week.
