CHARITY shop manager Kim Macinnes is urging people to donate knitting and craft goods to make its Handmade March campaign a success.

The Sue Ryder shop in Sherborne needs donations of knitting patterns, needles, wool, fabric and other arts and crafts materials and books to meet demand with the current trend for home handicrafts.

The shop already stocks a range of knitting and haberdashery items and staff are currently busy preparing hand made items from recycled materials to be able to sell goods in March.

Handmade cards, dolls house miniatures and brooches are already on sale.

Donations of other items including clothes, bric-a-brac, books and household goods are also welcome.

Kim said: "I would like to thank all the people who have responded so well to previous appeals and continue to support the charity by keeping the shop so busy."
