Former students of St Edward’s School are invited to an event to celebrate the school’s 50th birthday.

Past students, staff and governors will be gathering at the school in Dale Valley Road, Poole from 10-2pm on Saturday 26 April.

There will be an opportunity to look at an exhibition of memorabilia and past photos.

St Edward’s opened on 9 September 1963 as a Catholic Secondary School for 200 students aged between 12-16.

This month the school also celebrates 20 years of being a joint Roman Catholic and Church of England School - it has now grown to 1100 students.

A rededication service is taking place at St Mary’s RC Church, Wimborne Road, Poole on Tuesday 29 April at 7.30pm. Bishop Mark O’Toole, the Bishop of Plymouth and Bishop Graham Kings, the Bishop of Sherborne, will be attending to sign the renewed covenant.

If you would like to attend either of these events, contact Rebecca Harris, PA to the Headteacher, on 01202 740950 e: rharris@st-edwards.poole.sch.uk.
