MERE residents and visitors can enjoy a warm musical miscellany tomorrow Saturday 11th January at St Michael’s Parish Church, starting at 7.30pm.
Organised and directed by Peter Mason, the church's organist and Director of Music, the concert will include voice, trumpet, piano and organ music spanning 300 years, including the world premiere of a concerto by Handel for six keyboards, as well as “a musical surprise”.
There will be contributions from Jane Hurd (piano), Carol Wilson-Barker (voice), Henry Spencer (trumpet) and Julia Rankin (harpsichord).
Refreshments will be available during the interval. There is no charge, but a retiring collection will be taken in aid of church funds.
