UPDATED: Hambledon's in Shaftesbury suffers smoke damaged after fire

A fire has shut the B3091 in Shaftesbury

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a Shaftesbury High Street shop this morning.

Hambledon's Estate Agents was on fire, closing the B3091 to rush hour traffic.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service have extinguished the fire - which was confined to the basement.

The building is believed to have suffered smoke damage.

The High Street was closed between the Tout Hill Junction and the Coppice Street Junction.

Hambledons are continuing to trade from their Gillingham and Wincanton branches.
