Christmas Craft Fair 1-5pm Child Okeford Village Hall. Christmas Fair 11am-2pm Anne Biddlecombe Hall, Tarrant Keyneston. Sturminster Newton Original Market and Car Boot, RBL, 8am-noon. Sturminster Newton Country Market in the Exchange 9-11.30am. Sherborne Area Over 50s meet in the Digby Hall, Hound Street 2.30pm: speaker Rev Stewart Timbrell on "Discovering Dorset".

Thursday 29th: Sherborne Floral Evening Group meets in the Digby Hall for a demonstration by Pam Lewis, 7.30pm. Meeting of the Sherborne and District Society CPRE 7.30pm in the Senior Lunch Club in Digby Road: theme for the evening "Planning in Heritage Towns". An Evening with....David Walton (ex Spencer Davis Group) 7.45pm in the Johnson Studio of The Octagon, Yeovil: tickets on the door or in advance from the box office.

Friday 30th: Gillingham Country Market 8.30-11.30am Methodist Church Hall with fresh baked cakes and savouries, free range eggs, seasonal veg, and a welcome cuppa.

Friday/Saturday 1st December: Festive Farmyard at Bittles Brook Farm, Motcombe 4-8pm: second hand tack, Christmas gifts and a warming log fire with roasted chestnuts.

Brownies Recycling Project

The 1st Mere Brownies are still collecting jewellery, foreign and UK coins and noes and mobile phones - they can recycle them for you with proceeds to unit funds. Collection points at Waltons Newsagent, the PO and Jeans Electrical.
