The Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Pony Club welcomed 60 children and their ponies to five days of Junior and Mini camp at Toomer Farm last week.

Many passed efficiency tests and gained achievement badges, they also thoroughly enjoyed a talk from their local hunt which included cuddles with the hound pups as well as riding and jumping around Stalbridge Park by kind permission of the De Pelet family.

A special treat for the oldest members of camp was a sleepover on the finally night which included a surprise visit to the Show Jumping yard of Harriet Nuttall  who is currently on the senior team representing Great Britain, she inspired the girls with a jumping demonstration on her speed Derby horse Silver Lift  and invited them to check out how high they had jumped afterwards.
