Dorset based Chartered Accountants and Financial Advisers, Ward Goodman held a Christmas fancy dress and dress down day in aid of their chosen charity Julia’s house, on the 23rd of December.
The staff and directors of Ward Goodman came to work dressed in Christmas-themed outfits and brightened up the office with baubles and sparkles. Prizes were offered for the best fancy dress and Lynda Pas, receptionist at Ward Goodman, came away with 1st place thanks to her stunningly decorative ‘Mother Christmas’ costume.
A total of £44 was raised for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice as each staff member taking part donated £2 to this local cause. Even though work continued, all the employees at Ward Goodman had a fantastic day in their festive attire.
Along with the donation accumulated from the Christmas fancy dress day, Ward Goodman raised another £300 for Julia’s house. Ward Goodman have a goodwill policy in which no corporate Christmas cards are sent to business and clients. Although this sounds rather “bah humbug” the company instead donates the card budget they would have used to their chosen charity. This has meant a total of £344 will be donated to the charity – and will hopefully help with all the fantastic work that is carried out at Julia’s House.
Jen Richardson, Charities Manager at Ward Goodman commented, “It was fabulous to see everyone enjoy the start of the Christmas break and to raise more money for our charity of the year”
