A SHERBORNE charity shop is urging people to donate unwanted Christmas gift.

Kim Macinnes, manager of the Sue Ryder shop, said donations would find new homes and raise money for the charity that helps people with incurable illnesses.

She said: “We all receive the occasional ill-judged present, either the wrong size, wrong colour, a duplication or simply not to our taste.

“This year please don’t allow them to collect dust at the back of the wardrobe or languish in a drawer.

“Please help to prove that even bad gifts can do good by taking them along to Sue Ryder.”

The shop is next to Sherborne Abbey and open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.

Kim is always grateful grateful for donated clothing, books, toys. bric-a-brac, electrical items and small furniture.
