WIMBORNE Town will be looking for their third straight win at Cuthbury when they host Shortwood United on Saturday.

The Magpies have struggled away from home – having condeded ten goals in their last two games on the road. However, Steve Cuss will be hoping his side can keep pushing towards the Southern League Division One South and West playoff places against the Gloucestershire side.

“We’ve been doing well at home this season” explained Cuss. “So we’ll be looking to pick up points against Shortwood on Saturday.”

A late goal on Tuesday night saw Wimborne come away from a long trip to Merthyr Town empty handed. The Magpies have conceded late goals in their last two league games.

“We were bitterly disappointed to lose at Merthyr so late in the game, but confidence in the squad is high” added Cuss.

“The players are looking forward to being back at Cuthbury, giving their all in front of our supporters.”

Jamie Davidson remains the only doubt for Wimborne ahead of Saturday’s game.
