Dorset Community Foundation is due to launch The Dorset Bursary Scheme this month and will be working with four colleges across Dorset. The aim of the scheme is to ensure that every young person has the same opportunity to participate and benefit from a place in higher education and training. The Bursaries are available for students aged 16 - 21 who are living in rural Dorset.

Supporting the Dorset Bursary Scheme is a great way for local businesses to get involved with the younger generation and future workforce for Dorset. With the support of local businesses, the Foundation will be able to grant as many young people as possible from a poorer or disadvantaged background the opportunity to participate in further education and training by providing course related costs such as fees, books meals, transport assistance or equipment.

The first call for grants will commence in September.

For more information on how to support the scheme please contact Tracy Melling on 01202 292255.
