THREE men were arrested at Tarrant Keyneston and charged with poaching offences.
Inspector Shawn Whitley of North Dorset police said the arrests on Friday afternoon followed a call from a member of the public who became suspicious of their activities.
The men, two aged 22 and 24 from Poole and an 18-year-old from Wool, have been granted bail.
Inspector Whitley said: “We get reports of poaching in the North Dorset area but are often informed too late.
“In this instance the member of the public did the right thing to call us on 999 as the incident was happening and officers acted straight away.”
