What a coincidence

At the risk of perpetuating the debate on road surfaces around the Glue Hill and Rudge Hill area, here is my final comment, I hope!

So thursday morning I decided to wash the car on a rare dry day. To my annoyance I noticed the lower half of the car was covered with tar spots. It took an hour and half to clean it all off, and that's without doing the wheels. Then I noticed yet another puncture. Off to Blandford I go, there's a BVM in the waiting room, and in the letters page there is another letter from Doug Couchman with exactly the same experience, tar all over his car too.

Talking to the gentleman in the tyre repair shop it seems they are seeing a huge increase in punctures, damaged rims and suspension. I was lucky this time, it was repairable, it could have been a bill for several hundred pounds.

I contacted Dorset Highways to ask if the road could be swept and the blocked drain cleared. The very nice lady I spoke to said someone would be out to inspect them shortly. Watch this space! "I'll be back", maybe.
