Welton Rovers 3, Wincanton Town 3

A PENALTY from Ren Turnock rescued a point for Wincanton Town in a six-goal thriller at Welton Rovers.

Jamie Taylor's early brace gave the home side a two-goal lead, before Mike Taylor halved the deficit with a powerful header following a corner by Danny Golden.

Lee Gale continued his impressive scoring record with a perfectly-timed lob leveling the scores as half time approached.

Welton were able to restore their lead just before the break however, when Tom Pauley found the net for the hosts.

Wincanton pushed for an equaliser after half time, and were awarded a penalty for a foul of Gale. Turnock stepped up and scored to rescue a point and maintain a seven-game unbeaten run.
