CLAYESMORE Senior School's orienteering team is celebrating becoming National Small School Orienteering Champions for the 13th time!

The successful orienteerers, led by Colin Evans, found their way to Delamere Forest in Cheshire to compete at this weekend event that took place in mid November. They underwent a practice run on the Saturday to prepare for the competition that took place on Sunday. Mr. Evans said "despite being a novice team, the pupils did remarkably well and they all managed to get round the course without missing any controls."

Clayesmore are very proud of the trophy winning team which includes: Gemima Bartholomew, Chloe Norris, Kimberley De Wit, Elise Gibb, Ross Crabbe, Toby Huthwaite, Andy Smith, Barney Huthwaite and Harry Complin. In fact the Headmaster has promised to treat the victors to a slap up breakfast in return for their amazing efforts and for being 13th time lucky!
